Major Brands Pulling Ads from Google and YouTube

ICYMI… Major brands are starting to pull their ads from YouTube and Google due to their ads showing up on content related to terrorism and hate. You can read more about it here and here.

Google has responded by saying they are going to give brands more power over where their ads are placed. Which honestly it’s about time this happens. In this day & age, if someone sees an ad for a brand on a video that is promoting hate, there could potentially be a movement to boycott said brand. So brands need to protect themselves and avoid a PR nightmare, which is why they’re pulling ads.

So what does this mean for advertisers?

It means that brands are going to have more power to influence the right customers in the right places. Great, right?
